The Brooklyn Rescues photo project came out of a request from friends looking for artwork to hang on the walls of their new hot dog shop, Willie's. Avid dog lovers, we decided on images that would celebrate pups rescued and connected to Brooklyn, where the shop is located. Each dog got her own photo session. A diorama was then assembled, including personal story. The displays are meant to represent and respect animals as unique individuals. Every dog on these pages was saved, spared, healed, adopted, and most of all loved by your friends and neighbors. They were repaid in kind with ferocious wags of the tail, heroic greetings at the door, undying fluffy devotion, and a love like no other. This portfolio is dedicated to all those who give dogs a second chance on life.
